My name is Abulfazal Islam—call me Abu! I’m a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson proudly working with Laffey Real Estate in Bellerose. Originally from Bangladesh, I’ve been proud to call New York home for over 30 years. I currently reside in the vibrant neighborhood of Briarwood, in School District #28.

I’m a true New Yorker at heart (go Knicks!) and bring a deep understanding of our local communities and diverse cultures. Before becoming a Realtor, I was a small business owner, running a South Asian grocery store, restaurant, and gas station. I also had the privilege of serving as the President of the Jackson Heights Bangladeshi Business Association—a role that strengthened my connection to the community and taught me the importance of trust, service, and advocacy.

These life experiences have shaped who I am and how I work. I pride myself on being hardworking, approachable, and deeply committed to helping people achieve their real estate goals. Whether buying, selling, or investing, I bring the same dedication to every client relationship.

In addition to real estate, I’m also a Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Broker and a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator—giving me a unique ability to support clients with a full spectrum of real estate and financial services.

My wife and I are proud parents to four amazing children—one son and three daughters. We love spending time with our extended family and traveling to new places whenever we can!
